Dreams do really come true :)

Since I was a child I really wanted to be in a family that eats together, bond together and play together. Though we are close to each other we are always lack with one family member. It was always our oldest sister and brother who work abroad.

And as i grew older, our financial status demand more even higher. So my two other siblings went too abroad too. I am the only one left to look for my mom and dad at the young age.

And now this December 2011! We had our first ever reunion! Yay! We are COMPLETE again!! Just like what I dreamed about and wished every night it happened :))

We celebrated Christmas Eve at pansol, laguna :))

My mom :)) I love her so much. Kahit matalak hehehe :p

My dad :)) macho no! hahaha! My mom use to say manang mana ka sa papa mo! Oh well! She’s right! Carbon copy ko yan e :p

Our pretty eldest sister. She worked at Italy. Parang siya ang bunso sa sobrang tigas ng ulo niya.

My eldest brother (2nd child). He is the breadwinner of the family ever since :) I love him. He is the quiet but super jolly!

One word for him: PASAWAY! hahaha.. Every morning may sermon siya kay mama :p

She is my bestfriend in the family and my worst enemy too.. haha. Kikay kame parehas kaya nagkakasundo kame..

This is not me!!!!! hahahaha :)

Over all i am so happy! God is good right :)

Crack me baby..

I’ve got this new kikay must have. It’s the BK Cracking nails! Envy your friends with this polish.

Cracking nail polish is really in right now. Almost every brand tries to make onw of their own since its an easy way to create nail art without so much hassle. Its’s just like a breeze because you just have to paint it like a regular polish and then in matter of seconds, the magic happens.

BK nail polish is actually available online. you can see most of this polish retailing for 120pesos plus the shiping fee that you should shoulder for purchasing. I got mine while strolling around Victory mall because i’m killing my 3 hour vacant time for school. I was just suppose to buy a regular nail polish from BK but i ended up giving in because I wanna try something new.

I got mine for 80pesos. The content of the bottle is actually 10 ml. just a little bulb bottle with the white handle. Packaging wise, nothing special but it’s a good thing that they have a sticker with the design so that you’ll know how things will come out. The bottle doesnt have so much to say. It only has the brand “BK” and a statement which says that it’s a “cracking nail polish”

Here’s mine:

I choose Gold as a Base coat and black as the cracking polish. It turns out to be a leopard inspired polish :))

Pros:
-the texture of the nail polish is kinda liquidy which makes it easier to apply the product since we’re trying to make it fast.

-its a cute nail art design in no time.

- has no awful smell

-available almost everywhere. You can always buy online. divisoria is the place that you should go to if you want to see more cute polishes.

Cons:
-it chips off eassily. You need to l;oad up your topcoatjust to prolong the wear.
-the price is average for the 10ml bottle but the wear doesnt last that long.

Finally I found my College Spirit

Soiree Season

I always look forward to the first party of the school year. Sure, I like meeting guys and making friend, but the best part is the all-new bonding and post-party rehashing with my girl friends.

taken at Shiela's 18th birthday

Taken at Shiela’s debut..

Michael’s bday..

I don’t usually go to bars or so.. I am more enjoying having drinks with my friends around where we can hear each other.. Bars are too noisy for us..

Batch Competitions

I always looked forward to the cheering competition held every year in my college. We’d battle against the different batches to show off our dance moves and cheers, challenge ourselves to be the best out of all the competitors, show our teamwork, and bond as a batch.

That’s me at the center.. and hey! did I say that I’m a flyer?

My pep mate :)) ba- bern!

Planners

As a student, I got a kick out of making nerdy to-do lists, mulling over my schedule, and even writing down stuff I had already accomplished just so I could cross them off (shh!) I like Papemelroti planner.. Its eco-friendly plus its cheap. hey! you don’t need to have an expensive one since you will trash it every year.

March is my birthday :))

Playing the Part

Class plays and group presentations are the best reasons to go back to school! Some of my best memories involve working with my classmates on these projects, wearing odd costumes, and having lots of laughs in the process.

Healthcare role playing.. My guy friend Rein (at the left foremost) act as a gay Nursing student..

It’s our group. I played as a Health educator and a doctor at the same time.

Ate dess played Chairman at the role. She actually did it.

Forming Friendships

I always get excited at the start of a new school year because you never know if you’ll have your BFF as you classmate, or you’ll end up making a new bestfriend! :))

It’s my duty mates at MYRC. I miss them so much. No toxic moments on duty whenever we are together.

It’s my barkada or best friends I should say. We called our team as “VOLTES 5”. Wanna know why? count us. :p

My best friend-and-boyfriend-at-the-same-time and my girl best friend Lorraine.

Our class at TV guesting on Twist and Shout at ABSCBN.

New Notebooks

Whenever it’s time for a new school year, I can’t wait to hit the bookstore with my mom to buy new pens and notebooks. Even now in college, I always try to find an excuse to buy notebooks just like when I was in high school.

I’m not a fan of Glee but I love the cover.

Do you know how many minutes/hours that I spend when buying ballpen? TRIVIA: ONE HOUR! ahaha :)) My boyfriend is always annoyed whenever I buy one..

Regina Riica

Our real objective why we went to Tanay, Rizal is to finish our Case study for upcoming Grand Case Presentation. My hubby asked us if we want to go around Tanay. Since we are so lakwatsero at lakwatsera we said yes. We ended up going to REGINA RIICA.

When I learned of a new pilgrimage site in Tanay, Rizal, I got easily interested not only because a huge statue of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary reportedly is installed there, but more so because I heard it offers a place to rest amid the noise and haste of the metropolis.

Regina Rica, the convent where the status is located, offers more than rest; it is also a place promising healing.

Our Lady of Holy Rosary up there in the hill

My classmates.. May the Our lady of Holy Rosary bless us for the upcoming case presentation

The view there was so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful

They also have a cottages where you can take your lunch while you are embrace by the beautiful trees around

Me and my hubby.. praying that Mama Mary will guide us together

Every step that you take should be offered to God said by the Nun on the Orientation. and that’s me with the Shh sign. Bawal kasi mag-ingay.. :p

A welcoming statue of Mama Mary and child Jesus.

Regina Rosarii statue.. inside of it is a chapel where you can pray solemnly. You should take off your shoes and no picture taking.

Look how the flowers bloom in every corner of the hill. Picture taken by my best friend Lorraine.

St. Joseph the Carpenter who stand not that far from Mama Mary statue

They say everything happen for a reason and I think we ended up here for a GOOD REASON.

Manny Pacquiao School Exhibit @ PHCM

We are asked by our professor in Politics & Government  to be in charge for our exhibit for the Foundation Week. We are divided into three groups. The theme was about something that youths will be inspired of. Our group decided to choose MANNY PACQUIAO.. And we won first place!

That’s my boyfriend! He was actually the Asst. Leader. He got exemption for the finals. He deserved it anyway.

My classmates

We made some mini-Manny and Mini-opponent of his to show the 8 fights.

Me and my hubby.. love to work with him :))

Philippine Map made up of small soldiers. One of my favorite piece.

Group 1 chose Pope John Paul II to be their subject.

And there is Lea Salonga too!

We are so happy to do this event. We got exemption from Finals plus we bond together as a group.

Your Emergency Cramming Tool Kit

Save yourself from a mental breakdown with these four easy, step to quick and efficient studying!

Let’s just make one thing clear: cramming is not smart. It keeps you up at night, does not guarantee that you’ll get a passing grade. and causes high levels of stress that can wreak havoc on your skin. Really. But we do understand that it’s something necessary- which is why I’ve come up with this cramming guide for you. Just remember to use them only for emergencies, and not for each and every exam!

STEP 1: PLAN

Cramming may be your last resort, but this doesn’t mean you can’t make it work for you. The bestway to make sure you doesn’t waste the nest three to five hours on useless effort is by planning how you’re going to cram.

  • Plan your time. Be realistic about how much time you really have, and make sure to allot at least two hours of sleep time before you have to go to school. Yes, the two hours (minimum!) of sleep is non- negotiable, if you want to keep your brain healthy until way past high school.
  • Prioritize your Topics.  Know how many subjects you need to cram for. When you’ve only got three hours and five subjects to cover, focus on those you’re having trouble with, and just do quick reviews for those you’re confident about.
  • Ask around. If students in other sections are taking the same exam ahead of you, or if one of your classmates’ big sister/brother had the same teacher the year before, ask them about the types of questions to expect, and which the topics the teacher likes to focus on. This isn’t about cheating tips and actual answers. It’s about narrowing down the scope of what you’re going to study.

STEP 2: PREPARE

Set up everything you need in one area. This will give you less excuses to go into the other room to watch TV!

  • Your Study Materials. This includes all your reviewers, notebooks, books, highlighters, pens, Post-its, tape flags, and scratch paper.
  • Snacks. Go for ready-to-eat, lo-carb, nutritious treats such as peanuts, cheese slices, bananas, or pre-sliced apples. The less carb content in your food, the less sleepy you’ll become.
  • Drinks. Plain water is the best; caffeinated drinks might take you nervous or prevent you from sleeping when you need to.
  • Music. Go for classical ones by Mozart and Bach, because they’re scientifically proven to improve your memory.
  • Alarm Clock. It will help you keep track of time.

STEP 3: STRATEGIZE

  • Chunk your time. The average brain can usually engage in high-concentration work for only 30 minutes. To make this work for you, look at your schedule and chunk your cramming hours using the 10-30-10-5 pattern.
  • 10 minutes of brain to warm-up. Warm up to your subject by answering questions about it. You can usually find review questions at the end of the chapters in your textbook. (It helps to write down your answers!)
  • 30 minutes of highly focused study. By this time, your brain’s natural curiosity will start to kick in. Maximize this natural instinct by searching for the correct answers to the questions you’ve been reviewing. The, proceed to read or memorize other key points about the topic you need to know.
  • 10 minutes of easy reflection. When your 30 minutes are up, take a sheet of blank paper, and write down everything you remember about what you just studied. This part of your cramming sessions will give your brain time to transfer what you memorized into your long term memory (through repetition) and lets you understand how things are connected to each other.
  • Schedule your Mini breaks. Wait a minute - what about the last five minutes of our 10-30-10-5 pattern? Glad you asked! Those extra five minutes are for your Mini breaks. This is the time you can do anything or else other than studying. Just make sure to stick to your schedule! Go on break when it’s time for you to take one, then returning to studying and repeat the 10-30-10-5 cycle until it’s time for you to sleep.
  • Create Mnemonics. These are verbal and visual tools to help you remember facts. They can come in this forms:

-Sentences (My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nachos on Plate - a mnemonics for the nine planets.)

-Acronyms (Roy G. Biv - for the rainbow’s colors)

STEP 4: SLEEP

Most importantly: get some sleep. The brain not only rests during sleep, but it also creates new brain cell connections in the process.

New connections means new things are learned and stored - which is why what going through high school is really all bout.

GOODLUCK! :)
